I caught the Motoring 'Bug' at the age of 8, from that magic film 'Genevieve' like so many others and have never grown up where Cars are concerned since.

Over the years, my interest has covered all aspects of Motors and Motor Sport but has of recent years favoured the period from the earliest pioneering days, through to say, pre-war and perhaps a bit beyond!

I started painting the cars in oils in 1990 as a hobby, with a view to making a living from it in my retirement years. Circumstances kindly decreed that this be brought forward a little, so the 'fun' started a bit earlier than planned.

My aim with every picture, is to generate a successful mix of accuracy, atmosphere and action, in varying proportions, so that as a total, it recaptures that 'precious moment' in times past, that a modern staged photographic image rarely achieves.

Commissions are welcomed, in fact positively encouraged, but prospective clients be warned! I will 'hassle and badger' you for detail information, period and current photos and anything relating to your treasured car, that helps me to ensure that, what and how I envisage it, is as near as possible, the scene you have envisaged yourself!
